Will any type of heavy grease work in the Wiper motor on aD2 unit on a tr3? I have some black heavy disc brake grease will that cause aproblem? Does the unit need something special?

I believe what you've described will work fine. I have something similar in mine: Lithium base w/ graphite & moly HD grease.

Because of the slow speeds and materials used the main function of the grease is to keep water out.

I have rebuilt a lot of these and the usual failure point is water enteriing around the self-park mechanism and in the end where tha cable comes through.

I favour the use of a light-coloured grease available here for areas like towing-hitches and handbrakes that dont spin fast but get a lot of exposure to water.
