Grandmother passed last night

In our prayers Drew. Always wonderful though to celebrate a long life well lived.

Thanks again for the thoughts, guys. Much appreciated.

While this is a sad time, mostly I'm relieved for my parents who have spent most of their retirement years as caregivers and now will have some time to relax and do some things for themselves.

Sincere condolences and thanks for your insight re; caregivers.

Although most of us think that - nobody (other than immediate Family),
could post that.
And,I have to add - '14 Jeep Wrangler? - What???

Maybe it's a bit of old Yankee pragmatism, but my family has had some pretty frank discussions around the end of life issues we were facing. Life (and death) are complex, multifaceted things.

The family is getting together this weekend for the service, will be great to have everyone together again.

Yup.

Best thing that came about the passing of my mom almost 2 years ago.
The gathering of the family which hadn't been completely together for a number of years.
Miss my family unit

I hear you. I moved to the other side of the country 20 years ago, it's rare that we're all together for more than a short visit.
