Wow
I've been gone a long time. My last post was 2004. We had just reached over a thousand members and now over 9000. Congrats Basil.
I'm looking for a part # for a replacement electric motor for the heater fan in my 66 e type. The Grainger catalog carries this motor except the spindle has to be ground down on one side to fit the fan blade. Years ago someone posted the Granger part # on this forum. As I remember it was a more powerful motor and was about $25.00 Does anyone have the part # in their files?
Thanks Scott

Hello Scott,

On another list, they say it is part #2M197.
That you need to paint it black to look original, and that it is a 2 wire fan requiring a resister to get low speed.

As I own a saloon, I'm afraid I can't verify the info personally though.

The motor # from Grainger is 1LWK8. It's a Dayton # CMC 502A.

I know that the numbers were changed a while ago and I don't know if these are the old numbers or the new ones. I bought a motor around the time of the number change and it worked with minor altering.

Phil.
