anyone gotta wiper control to part with?
new video coming soon...ltr....zzimmmmmmy

Wiper controls also available from the usual sources.

What is wrong with your wiper control? Is it physically broken or just not wiping? Are you sure your wiper motor is functional? Have you replace all your fuses?

I spent a lot of time trying to repair a "broken" horn button only to discover that the fuse (though it did not look burnt) was actually bad. Many of the switches in these cars can be repaired by a patient and steady hand. It simply requires dismantling the part, cleaning the contacts with light sand paper, applying dielectric grease and reassembly.

But I warn you, reppairing the wiper control takes extraordinary patience and attention to detail.

id fix it if i had all the parts....most of it is missing...thats how i got it ; )
which wires in the harness do i jump to get them
moving? .....then i can see where to go from there...z

Zimmy,
what do you have for a horn push; is it on the directional stalk or the steering wheel center? I have a switch but I don't know what year it is from for sure. They changed them to incorperate the contact for the horn push in the steering wheel center and that is what I have. I think it is a pre-'74 version. Let me know.

Chris, I think his horn is on the steering, but I think he needs a wiper control. I have one that worked but the plastic holding the stalk is busted. After gluing it a few times I gave up. It has a different plug from the '74 but if you determine that the switch is your problem and you want a cheap temporary replacement just let me know and I'll mail it to you.

The wiper control switch has the horn push contact if the horn push is in the steering wheel center; otherwise the horn push is in the directional. The wiper control switch I have has the contact riveted to it. I converted from a wheel center push to a directional push when I changed steering wheels and couldn't get the new hub adapter to work. Essentially the contact was grounding out to the new hub all the time and the horn wouldn't shut off. The problem is I replaced the switch in the past because the washer contact was junk and I don't really know what this switch is out of. I have too many parts without labels.

Oh...I see. Thanks for the clariffication.

uuhhhhh.....my horn is in the center of the steering wheel...it isnt working but i dont know why yet as i
havent got to it....all i have is the 8 hole wiring harness and the plastic body its attached to for the wipers.....z

Let me know if I should send the switch, it sounds like it should work for you.
