Well... I was finally able to bring home my 74 1/2 RB MGB GT yesterday. AT first, I thought "What a mess," but after a bit of work, dodging the rain, it came up quite nice, WELL... Very nice. (I tried to upload a couple Pics to Members Rides, but maybe they are too big??? It rejected me.)
Anyway, I sent a few to Sherlock.
There is some rust in the usual spots, such as the bottom front of the pasenger door, the bottom corners of the windshield, the back top seem, but is 90% better then my TR7 was when I got it. The engine needs a complete rebuild, as all the pistons are out, and one valve is missing. I am sure it will turn up when the shop owner gets time to look. The interior needs a complete cleaning, but there are no rips or tears at all. Even what is supposed to be carpet is nice. It looks like it was POR 15'd at one time as well.
Anyway. I will have lots of questions regarding this engine rebuild, and other stuff.
If anyone would like to see a picture, let me know, I will email a couple.
Thanks
Paul
