Yep, it came in today. Our BN4's birthday is July 11, 1957. It came into Fort Worth, and it was ivory white with black trim and hood. The body and engine numbers are correct, and its factory fitted equipment were wire wheels, overdrive, a laminated windscreen and a heater. Now I'm off to the MVA to try to change it's title from 1958 to 1957. We'll see how that works out.... :banana: :banana: :banana:

Keep us posted on the MVA. Here in California, they don't like changing anything. They kind of like to keep it at the year it was first registered.

I tried that once....no way. I have a 1949 Willys Wagon, 2WD. I wanted to join the NHRA, which only allows 1948 and earlier (or did), EXCEPT they allow 1948 body styles....which was written in to allow the 1952 Chevy Pickups in, but not anything else. I found out there WERE no 1949 Willys Wagons. They were all 1948 and earlier, they just licensed the leftovers as 1949's (kinda like Brit Cars). Even with documentation, no changing it.
In 1950 (part way in), when they ran out of the "flat-fendered" units, they put a 226 Hurricane into them, extended the bonnet, peaked the wings, different dash.
 
It's hard to get Maryland to change the year on a title, too. I'm hoping the Heritage certificate will turn the tide. I have a set of Md tags from 1957 that I'd like to put on it, and in Md the year on your registration must match the year of the old plates, in order to use them. We'll see. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

Larry - Great to know that body number is correct. I assume you checked all the locations of that body number on the Longbridge:
1 - hood latch bracket
2 - hood hinge bracket
3 - trunk lid bracket
4 - the inside of the four cockpit moldings
