Well my dash wiring catrosophe of the weekend came to a good end. The moral of the story is the two terminals on the license plate light are specific. The RED wire goes to the middle socket and the BLACK to the side. Interesting was the fact that the red wire only bubbled and burned where it was exposed. I cut the loom open and they were all sleeping like babies in there. So the final results are: I have lights, gauges,wipers, heater fan. The Tach is still quirky as in it's not working.
