We purchased a 1953 td 6 monthes ago and finally had the chance (space in the garage) to get it home over the weekend. It has 62k original miles and we bought it from the original owners family. The car has not run since 1971. I did a few things to it (new oil, primed the pump, bypassed the fuel system, cleaned the points, bled the brakes, etc). It fired right up, did not smoke and idled on its own within seconds. Needless to say I was very pleased. I plan to do a body off restoration as soon as I finish my current two projects (BMW Isetta, Met conv.). The mg has a rusted and loose freeze plug (need to know the size) and some noise in first gear. My plan is to get it mechanically sound for the summer and then pull the body off later in the year. I am sure you will be hearing alot more from me in the near future.

Ever hear about a group based around San Francisco called the Arcane Auto Society? They love the arcane cars and drive them regularly too!
