How to get Miss Agatha home on the trailer.

Have been concerned about moving the bonnett without putting stress on the new paint.

Mount the darn thing, hinges, rubber bumbers and latch. Should keep me from having to put any stress on new paint and clear coat. Oh yea, Bonnett, doors and wheels have been primed at this point.

Now comes my problem and I did not know it till just now when I went out to the garage to locate what I will need.

The box that was lost at the sand blasters had in addition to the hinges, Plinith and shift cover, one bonnett hinge in it.

Guess what I do not have but one hinge now and need another.

Has anyone got an extra bonnett hinge that they can part with. Condition not important. Will be pleased to pay for it and shipping of course. I have 30 days to get one so no panic yet but they are surely not available from the usual sources. edit oh they are available but $45 new.

Maybe someone that has converted to front opening bonnett?

Jack, I do not have one here in NY and doubt that I have seen one in NJ eiether, Sorry it has been a long time since I have seen one when Rummaging thru boxes.

I do have a 1275 ex. manifold if you still want one that is yours for the taking.

Jack, they are still available new from the usual suspects. I probably have some here, maybe even some new, if I can remember where they are stashed. Give me a couple of days to look. I'll be at the track all weekend, so I may not get to it until Monday.

Oh shucks, Jeff is going raceing. Wave, go Jeff go.

I have a nice 1275 manifold Pat, thanks for the kind offer.

Think I may just save it for my next engine, a warmed over 1275 I hope.

No problem Jack, I just had taken it off of mine for a header and knew that you were interested in one.

Patrick

Really apprecate you looking after me, I need looked after it seems, lol.

As I recall the hinges for a Bugeye are the same as the ones for the MkII and MkIII so it doesn't need to be a Bugeye donor.
Bill

Jack are you still looking for a bonnet hinge. you should have emailed me, you know I have all this junk around.
