Got her leveled out, now with different wheels

Thought I'd post some pics of the bugeye after shimming, spacers, different leafs, etc. with her perfectly level side to side. I also sold the Carmona wheels in favor of some 14" VTO's with 185/60 BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport tires. As much as I loved the rarity and period correct aspect of the Carmona wheels, I have a thing for the VTO's and had to have them

Wow what a change !
I like the look I'm not a strips guy but the width looks really good and with the loss of the bumper and lights the car now has balance it was to heavy looking in front now wow looks great and the wheels yea perfect!

I also took off the luggage rack. I'm a fan of simplicity, though now I have some bolt holes.

Is that base/clear coat?

I don't think there is a clear coat on it.

I like where ya going . Hap says my Frogeye was like a new truck with every bell, whistle and do dad there
was slapped on her ,when I first got her. I mean EVERY do dad. Fender mounted turn indicators. Huh?
Amco rear wrap around bumper. Talbot Berliner fender mounted mirrors, Lucas fog/driving lights, etc.
I like the clean look. The 14s just look right to me. Same size I use but I have Dunlop z1s with VTO Retros.
LOVE em. Re-painted and just couldn't bring myself to put the stripes back. I miss them. Your's look great.
I went with a new bumper and no over riders. Still clean. No fender mirrors.
I really like the changes you have made. Well done Sir.

edit: before and after pics

Mine was the same way David, with cruise control, Knight Rider lights in the grille, center console, rear rack, etc. I may put the front bumper with lights back on, I think she looks good both ways. But I had a great time pulling wiring from all over getting rid of the cruise control and Knight Rider lights. The previous owner bought the car with all the additions and was going to remove them too, but he had his hands full with his other cars. One of these days I'd like to talk to you about your engine build, that may be my winter project and can't decide which direction to go.

I do like the fog/driving lights but couldn't bring myself to drill holes in the new front bumper.
When I had her re-painted I had EVERY stinking extra hole on her properly repaired. Lot of
welding and grinding. Sanding...more sanding...more sanding...mirror like surface now.
Hap is Da Man on engine advice. I am Da Man at writing checks.

Glad you got the car sorted....and hope you still want to keep it! VTO wheels look great, as that is what I had on 60Frog. I used the AUSTIN HEALEY emblem from the Moss tourist trophy steering wheels...their 46mm emblem....p/n 905-648.....but they sell it alone without the horn push for less money. Cheers, Scott in CA
