I finished installing new poly bushings, tie rod ends and water pump yesterday. The bushing are worth it!! We had the car out most of the day today. This afternoon, we stopped at an abandoned gas station near our house to take some pictures. The place was a Westland and then a Sinclair station among others through the years. It has been closed for many years now.

I just counted the turns when I put the new ones on. I was very lucky, the steering wheel was dead straight and both sides were turned to almost exactly the same length when I started, and when I finished. I measured when I started and there was almost no toe in with the originals so I did toe it in about 1/8 inch with the new ones. It tracks a lot better now.

Looks great!

Bryan,

Wouldn't that be a cool too have for a shop?

Doug,

A friend of mine just bought the place for next to nothing (wish I had known before he did). That's exactly what he is going to do. It needs a lot of work in the stalls, but should be really nice when done. If he runs out of steam and decides to get rid of it, I'll likely jump. The only thing that worries me is the EPA and the 75-80 year old underground tanks. It would be a pain to get stuck trying to remove them.
