Goprocamera test

It seems EVERY pic of me captures my shiny bald top notch.
I'll wear a hat next time.
Anyway, 1st test of the new camera. Out my driveway then a right
to Pumpkintown's blinking light and 4 way stop.
Left onto Old Table Rock Road for a bit.
I'll need to up the sound recording. This was from the roll bar mounting.
It took 2 hours to upload! Geeesh.

Nice running car. Was a fun little adventure.

Awesome! I love how the wide angle lens gives a sense of speed.

Have you considered any alternate mounting locations (like the front badge bar)?

It would make for some great chase scenes!

Alternate locations

Yeah, I'm thinking for Sunday's picnic drive with Sleepy's
Cat and Hap's B out front, a bumper mount chase video would be nice. I'll experiment with different locations this week.
Maybe a bonnet mount would be better and give a nice perspective.
Dang thing comes with a bunch of mount options.
I also need to up the sound levels. Mimi isn't that quiet.

Thanks. I'm really happy about putting the 4.22 in the rear.
It now has "spritely" acceleration.

Great stuff! Now I really want to get my car out there.

Just remember: grass never grows on a busy street.

Hi Gundy,

Great looking video. Great looking area to cruise around in.

You may want to try mounting your camera on the dash. I / We did it with my friends Alfa-Romeo Duetto & the video was great. You feel as though your behind the steering wheel driving, see all thats in front of you etc etc. It really gives you a realistic sensation of the speed being traveled.

Have Fun,

Russ

Re: Test #2

Nice little drive. Was it mounted to the bonnet or the cowl? It had more vibration than I thought it would. Also, I guess you figured out that the video is better on an overcast day.

Re: Test #2

Hi Gundy,

Another Great Ride! What a Gorgeous country side!

My B/E would need oxygen to make it to the top plus a few extra ponnies under the bonnet!

Whats the approx. degree of climb? Who was driving?

Great location for your camera.

Thanx, Russ

Re: Test #2 downside

I really like the rollbar mount best. This was shot with the camera mounted on the bonnet. Too much shaking going on.
Here's the rest of the trip as we went down the back side.
It's really an awesome little trip. 15 minutes from my place and about 15 minutes to do the climb up and the descent.
Ton-o-Curves.
I'd guess it is about an 800 ft climb up. I was driving
but not pushing the car. Wife was co-pilot and it is HER car.
Never got above 45 mph or so.
