Gooped up the carb throttle bushings with heavy grease to stop leaks.

Is a bit early and cold yet for a test but by gosh I am going to do it today. We will see.

If this works and I am sure it will, and resolves my problem I am going to be one happy guy.

Since I will be out of town for a week starting wed maybe I can get them redone and back for my return.

Would that be a kick or what.

What are you going to do Jack, have them rebushed? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Of course, but wanted to check out this trick to test and to hear what she sounded like at idle for real. Might even be someother prob as well. Who knows. but in anycase will sort through them one at a time till I have her at 100% across the board.

Nothing too good for Miss Agatha and she knows it. She is a demanding sort.

Jack

I am waiting to hear how you make out.

Alot of anticipation here.

I have a leak too, poss around throttle linkages, so I am forgoing my nap for the results here.

Did not make out at all. Pitched these carbs as far as I could throw them. They came back.

Have all off of the car at this point, going to start over with fresh gaskets when I get them, etc etc. The grease made no difference but a heck of a mess. All cleaned up now.

Got to think about this awile I guess.

Hmmm, good question, will check that as well.
