To all you folks who like vintage motorsport:
You all missed a great weekend here in sunny old England.
Goodwood Revival
The circuit closed in 1966 as a race track, but has been brought back to life for one weekend a year by the present owner Lord March. All cars & aeroplanes (it's a WW11 airfield) must be pre 1966, so we took our Frogeye along & got special parking. Vintage dress is also a must for most people. my quick phone photo's
The racing is always propper racing between millions of pounds worth of Ferrai's, E type C type, D type Jags, GT40's, Aston Martin's, and many other exotic machines. Then like "Top Trumps" overhead came a Vulcan Bomber (OK post 66 but sooo majestic, kin loud too). This along with already seeing air shows between two Spitfire, 2 Mustang, ME109.
The car park was represented buy thousands of pre 66 cars, quite a splattering of Austin Healeys, big & small.
oh and Buzz Aldrin was there to wish Sir Stirling Moss Happy 80's

Lovely photos and a great event.
I was born over there and still have relatives in the UK......would love to get to Goodwood one of these days.
I am actually building a vintage A35 racer that is a replica of the Rae Davis A35 that he ran at Goodwood in recent years (he ran a Mini in the St. Mary's event this year).
Fashionable looking couple and great looking Frog! I'm jealous.

By the way, I guess you know that it's *really* expensive to race in the UK. One of the guys who races with us (Ross) lives in London. It's actually cheaper to fly to the US and keep his car here rather than race in the UK. I just raced with him 2 days ago....I imagine he's home now. But will be coming back to our Watkins Glen event in about 4 weeks.

Looking very natty in the photos!

I'd love to make Goodwood some day. Just have to time a trip over there, and casually mention to my wife about this little "car show" we should pop into.

Really neat Pics. Great looking Frog. Too bad about the front license but guess the government has the last say.

Awesome pics. Thanks.

Many Thanks for that wonderful taste of what has to be one of the if not THE premier event for us motorheads!!!

Good Day Sir;

"VERY COOL", "VERY NOSTALGIC" INDEED!!!

"THANX FOR THE MEMORIES"!!

Regards, Russ
