I'm a racer, got lots of 1275 core engines I've been collecting over the nearly 40 years I've been racing, but I don't sell many because I need them for myself and my race customers. My advice is to 1) check with some local salvage yards. They may have some or know where some might be found. Try the older yards, not an LKQ type place first. Since the cars hit their salvage yard peak in the late 1970's and early 1980's, I would go see the older yards first. 2) Go to an SCCA race track (Barber, Daytona, Sebring, Moroso, Homestead, Roebling)and find a Spridget racer and ask if they might have a 1275 engine or know where one might be found. Often a racer might have a core engine they don't have plans for. 3) Check the scrap metal yards. I found a 1275 there one time, paid $7.50 for it.
Have patience and look through the various internet lists as well. BTW, anything less than $2500 for a good rebuilt 1275 with some kind of a warranty is a very good deal.
I've also had other racers (non-Spridget) give/sell me an A-Series engines they came across or knew of as well.
