Good place for wheel dollies

I am looking for wheel dollies so I can rotate the MGB in the garage for winter storage. I see some of the prices on line, and I do not want to spend 120.00 for a pair, and double that for all 4?
Or, is there a technique that you guys have used in the past that will help. I guess two floor jacks might work? I only have one, but could locate a 2nd if need be.

Thanks in advance

My two favorite web sites (aside from BCF)

Northern Tools: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200365530_200365530 ($49.99 a pair)

Harbor Freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece-1500-lb-capacity-vehicle-dollies-67338.html ($49.99 a pair)

I tend to do with Harbor Freight more frequently because they have a store near me and I like the instant gratification.

I also buy a lot of car specific tools like these off of craigslist. Though, I tend to stick with things that don't have hydraulics or electrics as you wind up with a lot of broken junk.

I've got 4 of the Harbor Freight ones. Work just fine.

I've owned the harbor freight set. My only complaint is that the little cast iron wheels are terrible. One small pebble and the thing grinds to a halt. If you have a painted or tiled floor in your garage, don't use these as they will tear it to shreds.

While I haven't done it myself, some people have used furniture dollies with success. They are typically rated at 1,000 pounds each, which is far more than required for any M.G.

Believe it or not, I got mine at Menards, and they were the cheapest I've seen, and they are surprisingly heavy duty. They more than hold the B up, and make it pretty easy to push her around the garage. Even though I have a couple of sizable cracks in my garage floor, it's a 1-man thing to push it all over the garage. The wheels are some kind of nylon composite, so small rocks and stuff, you don't even notice.

When I delivered a TD to a guy in Salem,Oregon,it had
a stuck rear brake. He bought a set at Harbor Freight. We
just had to get it off of the trailer,& up his driveway,
& into the garage. After about 5 feet a wheel ripped off.
After a few more feet,we lost another one.
I hate stuff like that that's made in China.

I bought my set of four at a local tractor supply store.

The castors aren't the best...and the paint pealed off of them immediately...but they've been in service now for over 10 years with no major complaints from me.

They are currently under my parts GT..outside of the barn on the concrete pad.

One jack, do it logically by lifting/situating each end of the car a bit at a time.

Jody beat me to the punch. Harbor Freight (I am on their email list) and NOrthern are ALWAYS having sales on these things. In fact, if you contact them, they might be able to tell you when the next sale is.

As a testimony, my best friend's wife got him the Harbor Freight set for Christmas last year, for his MGTD, and he LOVES them. He turns the car around in the garage without even opening the garage door. This is real handy when it is bad weather outside.

Unfortunately for me, my garage is too small to use a set.

Good luck - you will love them once you get them.

I believe the new ones from Northern Tool has vinyl wheels. Not sure though. PJ

The couple of times I've compared prices on this type of thing the farm supply store, I assume Rick got his from, is about the same price as HF and at least as good if not better quality. I would look around they are not hard to find.

was at the book store tonight and, this months issue of Hot Rodding magazine had a full page ad from Harbor Freight. In it was a coupon for 1/2 price dollies - $39 a pair instead of $80

well, I ended up not getting any dollies after all. I just used my parallel parking skills, and on the second go, had it inches from the wall on two sides.
And the teachers said I didnt pay attention.

Thanks

P.S. I saved some money big time with that maneuver.

Good on you for getting it in without the dollies, Art.

I got mine for what JP quoted in price. Tunebug is sitting on them right now, across the back of my garage.
