I just watched George Clooney in his play "Good Night, and Good Luck", live on TV tonight. A story of the media, Edward R Murrow, and Murrow's reporting of Joe McCarthy and "McCarthyism".
That is one heck of a powerful play.
As the stage fills with old television videos, alternating clips of "Milton Berle" and "I Love Lucy" with scenes of riots, wars, discrimination, and killing from the 1940s to today, Murrow faces the audience, and says:
"The fault, dear Brutus ... " then stops and says Good Night, and Good Luck.
Blaming others makes little progress. Taking action against ignorance can bring much needed change.
It is not too late.

(and the jazz bits were good too!)
