I pulled the steering column from the steering box below:
which is why i bought the replacement spoken of in my earlier posts.
the good news is that my non-adjustable column is usable in the replacement housing. despite the bend in the tube in the pic, the actual column is good. It only has a very slight, almost unnoticeable wobble to the worm gear end when rolled across a flat surface. You can't even feel a bend in the column by touch. SO...
my questions are these:
with such a minor bend to the actual column and the inherent "slop" associated with this type of steering, would i even notice any difference?
if so, would there a way to straighten it without jeopardizing structural integrity?
