This is funny...
Beautiful day today, so drove the TR7 to work to the city. There are sometimes spotchecks set up here and there to check lights, signals, body condition, etc. Well, I happened to be in a group of three that were stopped. A young officer, looked like a rookie came to the car and said I had a brake light out. I, of course told him the old standard, "It worked when I left the house." (I think it did). An older officer, well maybe my age, then came over and asked how I was today. The young cop told him about the brake light not working. The older one said to him, "His rearview mirror is crooked, that would do it." The young fellow got a confused look on his face. The older officer then winked and told me he has a TR6 and an MGB, and to give it a bang when I get where I was going.
Must have been an interesting rest of the day for those two. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF
