Good friend had a stroke

I just talked to a good friend and former supervisor (when I was a contractor) and learned some bad news. Bill recently moved from Albuquerque to Florida due to his wife having COPD - she does better at lower altitudes. I found out that he suffered a stroke and is currently in residence at an acute rehab facility. His vision was badly affected in addition to coordination, though his speech was still pretty clear. He was lamenting that he may never be able to drive and he's a big car guy!

Sigh...

That's a shame!

My great aunt once told me that the worst part of getting old was watching all your friends die. Unfortunately, she was right.

The Vet that has been taking care of our two dogs for the past 6 years just had a stroke two months ago, he's supposedly recovering very well, but not sure if he can return to his business, time will tell. He and I have become friends as he's restoring an old Volvo 544 and loves old cars. We have our hopes up. PJ

Having had several, I wish him luck. It's hard work getting it all together again. I am missing bits and pieces but it could have been a whole lot worse. On the bright side I am forbidden to climb ladders to hang christmas lights!

So sorry about your friend. You just never know what the next day will bring.
