Going to New Orleans

We are headed to New Orleans today, first time back since Katrina, to check out some of the devastation. Several of the British Motoring Club of New Orleans members lost their cars in the flood, some under 10' of water. Hope to look them up or what was left of them. Parretti Imports in Metairie (suburb of N.O.) had two (2) 1976 TR6's and an 81 MGB that were never titled, the REAL DEAL when referring to "mint condition". I think they were lost, hope not. It seems the nation has turned it's back on the great city of New Orleans, so much to be done and so little $$$$ to do it with. B.M.C.N.O. is still planning it's annual British Car Day in March. It would be nice if some of you could drive in for the show.

I wish I could be there in March to show support. I've spent probably 7-10 days total in NO over the years, and it's a great place.

Sad thing about Americans -- we have the memory of a goldfish. One minute we're planning to do everything possible to rebuild NO, then hey..Nick and Jessica split up.
