Go for a drive!

The weather turned beautiful today so a friend and I went for a short spur of the moment drive. The wildflowers are everywhere, covering the hillsides in yellow, orange and purple. We saw a group a five or six of the new Porsche Panameras out for some test driving while stopped at an overlook.

If the weather has turned nice where you are, get that car out and drive!

Took the XJ6 out for a long run to Fayetteville, TN this morning for breakfast - made mistake of allowing Jerri to drive up!

Took my '67 MGB GT out this afternoon running all my errands in Huntsville.

Izzat Morgan's Elan? Those pix take me "back to th' sixties"!

Are ya gonna flip those turnsignal lamps "right way 'round" Steve?

Two *nice* cars!

I drove the Miata top down for 300 miles (almost to Cape May) last Saturday. And top down every day since in it, for at least a short spin.
For some reason, I love cruising around top down on a cool night with the heat blasting.

My "new" '69 ~MGB~ roadster is still not ready for prime time...soon, I hope.

So how are you getting around without Calif. tags? (or did you just pull them off for the photos?)

Yes, that's Morgan's Elan.

They ARE the right way around for a 1969 MGC GTS. If it were a UK-Spec 1969 MGC GT then they would be backwards.

I agree! I've done the same in my '65 B for 20 years. Put on a coat, blast the heater and set out into the cool night air.

The plate is normally in the rear window, but the suction cups aren't sucking anymore. Technically it's still illegal with the plate in the window, but I've never had a problem.

Wah! I can't get out and drive at least not with the top down anyway. Maybe I'll take the GT out for a cruise tomorrow.

If I owned that CGT you coulden't keep me off the roads!
Alas, the only way my TR2 is going for a drive is in a trailer.

Hence th' "devil" smilie...

I drove our truck to work today -- because it was snowing and I didn't want to scrape the windows on my car. Does that count? :frown:

Sunday was nice, though. Took my 70 year old mom for a short motorcycle ride. She was giggling like a school girl.

I drove the Herald to work yesterday 140KM round trip. First long trip it has taken after 3 years of engine / gear/ suspension / brakes... rebuilding. Even took the scenic route with lots of twisty roads and "Slow" signs some of which REALLY mean slow. Next time I will bring my camcorder.
