TR6 Glove box lock help for TR6

I recently reveneered and finished my dash after many repairs. I am having trouble getting the lock to catch correctly on the glove box door. Can someone tell me the distance between the knob that sticks up and the back of the glove box door? Currently mine sits at about 1/8". It kind of looks like it should be double this. I suspect I let too much finish or glue accumulate in this area and may have to trim it down. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Kevin, if you are talking about the small spring loaded latch---it is 1/4". It seems like yours should still latch?. The tab that the latch locks on-to is adjustable.

Thanks, Alan. I fitted everything except the lock/latch when I rebuilt, reveneered, and finished the dash. The original door was damaged beyond repair. I am using a NOS door I bought on Ebay for $5. You confirmed my thoughts. The door latch seems to work better the more distance I set the lock into the door. The spring loaded latch seems to need more room to clear the tab you spoke of. Thanks for your help.
