I used a Hot Rod 12 circuit harness kit in the Shealey. I had to make many changes in the harness as these things assume your using a GM switch and signal setup.
I have everything wired to the Healey switches and tested with the exception of the dash warning light. I wired in a 3 prong flasher relay. I used "L" and "X" terminals on the flasher to work the signals. They work fine and blink normal. I used the "P" terminal and ran a wire to a bulb. from the bulb I connected the second wire to a ground.
The first flasher I used was a 6V 3 prong. I had it laying around and it was like 10:00 pm so the parts store was out of the question. When the switch was thrown either right or left the rear turn lamps blink normal, but the test bulb I was using as a dash warning light blinked one flash and stayed off.
Second I picked up a heavy duty 12V 3 prong flasher thinking the 6V one was the problem. That one never even activated the rear lights and the dash warning test bulb never flashed..
Third, thinking the heavy duty flasher may be too much for the two rear bulbs to activate, I picked up a regular 3 prong.
This one worked the right and left rear blinker but the "P" terminal did nothing. Not even one blink like the 6V one did.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm out of em.
