I need to get behind the dash for some electrical work and would appreciate an alternative method from the pretzel position
laying on the floor. Is there a way to loosen the dash and pull it forward or clear out?
Thanks for any advice you have
The one I've always used, but getting harder and harder as I get older, is with my head on the floor looking upwards, butt in the seat backwards and legs hanging over the seat back. Not comfortable, but it works.
Try pulling out the big gauges first, Speedometer and Tachometer, to gain access to wiring at reasonable angles. To avoid short-outs disconnect battery.
OK, thanks guys. Hoping to avoid Healey Ricks method (I too am getting a little less spry) but will try pulling out a couple of instruments to see if that helps
