Ooof.

Sad.

My hero! (Believe it or not...)

Al Sleet, "The Hippy-Dippy Weather Man with all the hippy-dippy weather, Man..."

71 is MUCH too young to leave us. :frown:

I remember a bit he did about his and Richard Pryor's health issues:

"Richard had a heart attack, so I had a heart attack. Richard set himself on fire. I said "F*** THAT!" and had another heart attack!"

And now they are both gone........

Gone but never forgotten.

He leaves quite a legacy. Influenced a couple generations. Gonna miss that one.

Wow! I had not heard!!! So sad to lose such a funny, insightful man! THE comedian of my generation!

Now, that's making me start to feel a little old. :confuse:

A lot of his stuff is on You Tube... pirated, I'm sure, but amusing still....

I travel quite a bit. Everytime I board a plane, I am reminded of this classic:

Airline agent: "ladies and gentlemen in a few moments we will be getting ON the plane."

GC: F*** YOU! I'm getting IN the plane not ON the plane!

The very first album I bought was his stand up.

Wow. I saw him a year or so ago and he was amazing. I remember listing to an album of his in tne mid 70's when I was about 10. Funniest comedian - I think.

RIP.

Brilliant man - he'll be missed, and always remembered.

I hope he finds that banana guacamole he lost where ever he ends up....

"Our weather is dominated by a Canadian low"..........

He will be missed

Could somebody find the thing he did about state of the world we live in? It went around for a while several months ago. It is quite interesting, thought provoking and funny.....which is exactly what he was and his body of work will always be.

He wrote his own obit...

"...he was just here a minute ago..."

No doubt he was "edgy", but was awarded the Mark Twain prize for American humor. Truly a satirist of the first order. If you could get past his obscenity, he could really make you think... and laugh at the same time.

I would imagine that Mark Twain was regarded in the same way. Get a copy of The Bible According to Mark Twain - THAT'LL give you pause!

Twain is STILL one of my most favored authors/humorists. Carlin, too. He hit everyone/everything with equal satire.

"Is Nothing Sacred?".....

HooHOoooHAAAHAAAAhEhEHEEEEE!!!! :jester:
