Gentlemen - take a look!

Doesn't really fit me to that much of an extent because I'm not focussed on doing close-to-perfect restoration work. Having a 1975 engine backed with a 1978 transmission mounted into a 1973 body with 1970 interior is perfectly OK with that as long as it all works and isn't held together with zip-ties and duct tape, I know people who consider putting an intake or head that isn't the exact right year/casting ID onto an engine a border-line crime even if it works. There is a lot of effort that goes into making it "right" and I have a great deal of respect for people who have that mindset.

I don't have the patience or resources to do a project to that level and I know I don't, so I tend more to the "its not stupid if it works" mindset. My goal is a decent safe driver, not a perfect time capsule.
 
It only sorta describes me, because I'm no purist. I like my vehicles road worthy. Sometimes, that means not putting something back to original. For example, my son borrowed my pickup awhile back and managed to burn up the wiring harness, it managed to burn up my voltage regulator. When looking for a new regulator, I found that one costs around $150. I also found that a rebuilt Delco single wire alternator costs $77 on Amazon. Needless to say, I'm saving the money and upgrading from my old generator.
