Generator to Alternator Swap

I recently converted from Pos to Neg ground and now I am looking to swap my generator for an alternator. My question is, is there oil or antifreeze behind the circled part? Just wondering if I have to drain anything before I replace the generator mount with an alternator one.

Thank you.

Hi Peter,
That is the front lifter (cam follower) gallery cover. When running, there is oil splash/dribble in the area but when stopped the oil drains back into the sump so there will only be surface oil on things - no oil or water you need to drain. Recommend installing a fresh gasket and sealer because the splash oil inside when running can seep out.

Ditto what Dave said.(y)
