Generator/alternator conversion...what's involved?

I want to convert my 67 GT from positive to negative ground (no problem there) and I also want to convert from the current generator to an alternator.
It would be a high amp GM conversion for reliability reasons, etc.
Has anybody done this and what is involved (besides getting an alternator)
Thanks,
Monte

I did the saturn alt conversion on my 80 LE. Still working and pretty straight forward.(1967 wiring harness in the car) Instructions can be found online if you search it out.Bob
