General Lee and the Speeding Ticket

A friend of mine is a reenactor and does an historical impersonation Of General R.E.Lee. One day on the way home from a reenactment in Virginia he was pulled over by a state trooper for speeding. He was still wearing his Lee uniform when the trooper walked up to his car. The trooper looked at him for a moment without speaking then, he shook his head and said " My mother and father would disown me if I gave a ticket to General Lee." At that point he told him to have a nice day and sent him on his way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

That officer better watch out....Boss Hogg won't be happy if he doesn't meet his quota. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Someday the mountian might catch 'em, but the law never will.

Makin their way the only way they know how......

Yankees may think it's funny, but Robert E. Lee is as honored a person in the South as Lincoln is in the North (and I hope he always will be!)

It's sad to see that you guys can recite the words to
that song.
Should I notify the authorities?
You realise that this is coming from 1 of 7 people who
actually paid to see "Heaven's Gate" when it came out.
