Gear shift patten on a Super 7?

A neighbor and fellow British car enthusiast passed away lately. He left his wife with a Caterham Super 7 which is a 1995, I think. She wanted to sell it at first, but now she would like to see if she could drive it. She asked me to help her learn, but I do not know the gear shift pattern. It is right hand drive and it has the Ford ( I think ) engine in it with Webber carbs. Before I try to drive it, I would like to know where the gears are.
Thanks,
Charlie

1st up left, 2nd down left, 3rd up middle, 4th down middle, 5th up right.
Assuming 5-speed box, of course!

Concur.

I would think that you'd need to know which transmission it has.
Otherwise, put it in each gear,& see where reverse is - then go from
there.

I ended up having to search for reverse. It turned out to be push down in neutral and push the shifter left and up. There was reverse.
