lost instructions on wiring for reduction gear starter for 72 TR6 , but new starter has battery connect, a heavy wire cross connect from solenoid to starter and a small connect point on starter from ignition switch . I have a covered blade connect left over , What does this connect to??

It doesn't. That's for the ballast bypass, but the gear drive starter doesn't support it.
If you want, you can rig a relay to perform the function; but my suggestion is to just leave it disconnected (but tied back so it can't touch anything).
