Gear Reduction Motors

I was wondering if it would be worth putting in a gear reduction motor for my Healey to make it a lil' easier on start up? What's everyone's view on them?

I have one in mine and it does make it start easier. I have a newly rebuilt 3000 engine with 10:1 compression, so the old Lucas starter was having quite a time getting it to spin.

I can't tell you about the long term reliability, since I've probably got less than 1,000 miles on the engine. The starter bolts right in, but it just touches the frame, so your engine mounts neet to be in good shape.
