Hi, I have a 100/4 BN1 with a BN2 gearbox. I need the rubber boot(s) for the gear box (side shift). Any ideas of who can supply?

The Healey Factory in Melbourne should be able to help, but since you might need to import to New Zealand, have you tried AH Spares? They are located in England. There are several other suppliers in the U.K. and the USA

You may already know this, but I've seen MORE shift boots installed upside down than I have right side up, so I tend to make some noise about the right way to do it. My apology to you if you already know which is which.
The socket part of the boot is to seal road debris from getting near the fulcrum ball, and the upper portion of the boot is molded to seal tightly above/below the sheetmetal xmsn tunnel.
In the pic above, you can see that I used a ty-wrap around the shifter's cup, because while struggling to get it onto the trans tunnel, it's easy to pull it off the trans and harder to get back on.

When I looked at Randy's photo I thought, good grief I have my boot upside down; what a dope. The dope part may be true for other reasons but not for this. The BN2 does not use the same style bootas the 6 cylinder cars with side shift transmission. Don't know why but we have the rounded "wedding cake" type as shown in the moss catalog. I would have a heck of a time making that work......
