gauges don't work

get one thing fixed and another pops up...now my gauges don't work (tach, coolant temp and fuel). When you flip the lights on the lights on the gauges come on but the gauges show no readings...stuck my hand under there and moved it around and they came on but died shortly after, any ideas?

also the cooling fans and brake lights don't work nor do the turn signals looked at the wiring schematics but still no luck

You wiggle the wiring and the gauges work intermittently? Sounds like a loose connection or corroded connector. Possibly even a nearly broken wire. Go through each wire one by one until you find the problem.

Especially all the green ones. Any green: the ones with tracers included as they're the supply side, that sounds like the problem. Find the voltage regulator and check there first. Let us know what you find.

yeah i think i found the regulator...its on the firewall correct way up in the back, has 2 wires going to it i am going to take a break from it, been working on it all day then i'll test it for current and let you guys know

took a test light to the regulator and it had no power, connected the 2 wires that go to the regulator togther but the gauges still have no power ill keep on looking

You're having remarkably good success in the diagnosis - fixing department.
Can I leave my B with you for a week?

OOh-AH!!

Electron chaser!!!

Well done.

In-line circuit breaker? Just a WAG.

Now, did you clean and put some dielectric grease or clear finger nail polish on that connection to seal it for the rest of your life??
