Gas leak everywhere

Started ignition this morning, fuel pump clicks as always, this time kept clicking......
I have 'stuff' all over the floor that smells like gas, but dirtier, probably from the stuff it collected on the way down.
Carbs are clean, manifold clean, yet the gas looks like it's coming from above the drivers side wheel.
this very disturbing, I have an extinguisher handy, but where is it coming from and why? It ran like a beaut yesterday.

Guess you going to have to look while the pump is running, but first take out the mats and such and keep an extinguisher handy of course.

This is going to be a bit strange, but trace the fuel line from the carbs back, not too far to go. Someplace something let go.

I disconnected what I thought was a flasher unit, I knew it wasn't when the flashers continued to flash after this thing was out, as I turned the ignition on, that's when the fuel pump clicked a million times.
Everything is back together now, how it was before, just 6 hours later.
Was what I disconnected something that tells the fuel pump to stop when the pressure is =, the fuel pump should run at around 4 psi I'm guessing, SUs around 2, soooooo, the fuel pump just peed gas into the carbs, then on my freshly painted garage floor?
It's fine now, just a hint of a smell of gas after I ran it round the block, hard, a few times.
Here comes the dumb question....Where is the flasher unit?
Please don't laugh, I'm new to this and can't decide if I love my midget, or hate it....

Oh come on Baz you love it, and just look at what you are learning. Things they never teach in school.

Flasher for Bugeys is on the firewall, engine side. Try there or under the dash, should be alum colored I think with a couple/few wires only, no pipeing.

That's what it must be then, I'm sure the act of removing the spade connectors, greasing them and putting them back in a couple of times did the job for that.
I'm guessing the fuel leak was a stuck diaphragm.
You're right Jack, I do love it, we're still in this 'Getting to know each other' phase.

i removed what i believe to be the flasher from behind the radio console...still no flashing but i think ive got other problems too ; ) ....zzimmmmy

And of course you have checked the Bulbs Zimmy and they are seated properly and the rear ground is good.
