Gas Gauge

I think my gas gauge is broken. filled the tank up all the way this afternoon, drove 5 miles look down at the gauge and its a 3/4. when i pulled out of the gas station it said full. just put a weber and exhaust system on and its not running rich or anything. everything is in tune.

Guage or sending unit...think I'd guess sending unit - take it out & clean the pivot points - they may be a bit rusty...also check the electrical contacts.

Especially the ground connection. They can corrode and introduce resistance.

Also... if you haven't yet done this - be sure to look under the car after it's parked awhile - for gass puddles. - but more likely what they said.

Also, actually filling an MGB all the way is a bit of an artform... easy to miss the full mark if you just let the pump handle click off by itself.
