Garage Door Screens

I just ordered 3 of these for the front of the GarageMahal!!

The company is going national this summer through Lowe's - but the owner & I are talking about me also picking them up as one of my product offerings....oh, watch the video:

I've thought about one of these. It would be nice to keep flying pests out and it would also improve security when I want to leave the door open all day. The problem is that I would want it built into the header because I don't like the way it looks when it's just screwed onto the outside. Since I've already finished the garage, I don't want to tear it all open.

I wonder if I could attach one to the bottom of the roll up door on the inside. And I could create the option to leave it attached to a small floor fitting so as the door goes up, the screen deploys. Hmmm...

Steve - wait until mine is installed - I was concerned with the appearance also but I think the way I'm gonna do mine will make it look built in....we're gonna frame it in with wood trim.

Could it be hinged to the inside and "deployed" when wanted?

...okay, I'll go look at th' vidi... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

This is too cool! Notice too that you can order them with zipper in the center for easy in/out. A couple of nights ago I left the flourescent lights on and the door open while I went to make dinner...an hour later the garage was full of all sorts of flying things including a couple of bats...bet this would solve that problem!

Great Idea!

I'll post photos as I install them...

I like the idea of it having acess with a zipper but I am in an out of my garage 100 times a day when I'm in a good zone for working. I'd love to see the shots of it coming on & off.

Check out the video - it shows everything...

Finally got to see the video. It would be a neat idea if it attached to the garage door and attached at the bottom with a set of spring loaded ends like on a window shade. When the door goes up, you have a screen. Then you can simply unhook it from the sides and the tension would pull it up and latch on the back of the Garage door when not in use.
I wonder if they have them for an 18' door?

Yes.

oooh than I'll gove it some thought. Tired of sweeping up leaves and pine needles and sometime I just don't want to throw the cover over the car. Flies like to hover right where in the middle of the garage too which is right about the GT engine bay.
