I have seen this movie and since this is my daughters field she showed me this.
Kind of cool how stuff is added to a scene

I had no idea they were making a movie about Kon-Tiki, I'll have to go see that. One thing I don't get about the effects is why not just really film a guy in the rubber raft? Was it deemed too dangerous to have someone actually on the water?

I thought it was amazing how they eliminated "Lt Dan's" (Gary Sinise) legs in Forrest Gump, or the girl's arm in "Soul Surfer" (About the 13 year old who had her arm chomped off by a shark.
