TR6 fuzzy rubber door seal

Trying to install the fuzzy/rubber door seals on my 74-six. The seal that goes all the way around the door jambs and ends at the top of the windshield pillar. I can't seem to figure out how the darn thing gets attached. I see some sort of metal clip like items in a continuous row all the way around. I am not seeing this install????

:fat: If it is the same as the fuzzy seal on my 62 TR4 it is very easy. No clips, it holds itself on with that metal stuff on the inside of the fuzzy seal.

I started by taking a screw driver and spreading apart the one end of the fuzzy seal just enough that I could then get it over the metal in the door frame that you end up installing it over. Not to much that it won't hold, but enough that you can get the fuzzy seal started.

I got the one end started and then used the palm of my hand and then light taps with a rubber mallet to get the seal on, working my way to the other end. As I recall, I started at the back end of the door frame and worked my way forward to the top of the windshield frame.

I don't think it is the same but it attaches in a similar fashion (as you describe).

As I recall, on a TR6 the fuzzy seal and the rubber seal are all one whereas the original TR4 seal was two pieces -- the fuzzy seal that presses on (easy) and the rubber seal that was glued into a metal channel (bit of a pain). Of course, through the years many TR4s were fitted with the TR6 seal as it was a simpler install (and the metal channels were prone to rust).
