A forum member said that the correct size US fuses for my car are 17amp and 25Amp. As I can't find 17amp fuses would I best use a 15amp or 20 amp fuse instead?

Hi Robert, where the original fuses had 50 and 35 Amp ratings in the British system. The corresponding values in the US system would be 30 and 25 Amps.

However, to respond to your original question, I would use a 15 Amp in place of the 17 amp unit.

This is because the continuos no blow rating of a British 35 amp fuse is nominally 17 amps and that may be what he was refering to.---Keoke
