Anybody here know of someone who has mounted a TR3 body on a TR4(notA)frame? I would like to know if it is somehow doable without rolling the front fenders or having flared front fenders. The car would be running wire wheels and stock tire size.Tires might stick out beyond fender well. I know the rear clearances would'nt be an issue because a TR3 diff could be used. CK

There is pics out there. Don't you have to add a middle section to make it wider as the 4 is a wider frame?

The TR4 frame is only wider at the front, where "supplementary" rails were added outboard of the main rails to increase the track.

You might find this thread on the TR Register Forum to be of some use.

If you look at pictures of the fabled TR3 Beta (at the moment, I can't find any on the Internet), you'll see how the front and rear wings were widened. If you end up doing this, that would be pretty easy with a set of fiberglass fenders, I'd think! Randall has noted in other posts that the wider TR4 axle seems to fit ok under the TR3 body; I'm not so sure about the front wheels, though!
