FujiFilm X-TRA 400 - worth keeping/ using?

I have 3 or 4 rolls of unused FujiFilm X-TRA 400 for color prints that are at least a couple decades old. I'm wondering if I should bother trying to expose them or at that age, should I just toss them and get something else? (and what would you recommend)?

About the only thing they'd be good for is as a conversation starter, IMHO. Color emulsions tend to desensitize over time. Even if refrigerated/frozen. B&W emulsions are more stable.

The Kodak "Gold" or "ColorPlus" (both 200 ISO) emulsions are good enough for most daylight use, C-41 processed, easily found. B&H has a long list of choices, I'd stay away from the motion picture 35mm loaded for use in still cameras. Ilford and Fuji both seem to have C-41 compatible emulsions.
