TR6 Fuel tank question - TR4a & TR6 truly identical?

I believe so, but wanted to check. Bob D. triggered a good idea on getting a spare tank I here dipped and then sealing with with KBS or similar and then using it on the TR4a IRS.

The mountings are the same, as are the outlet and fillers. There are difference on some to accommodate PI. The filler tube on the later TR6 tank extends farther into the tank to allow for an expansion area, resulting in a lower capacity.

The early TR6 tanks have connections on each side of the top for lines to run from the cannister. The TR4A tanks do not have that. I have used a tank from a TR6 in my TR4A for a long, long time. I just ran a 1/4" fuel line between the two connections on the tank.
