TR6 Fuel starved?

Runs great in the driveway and for a couple of miles and begins to and eventually quits. I can putter home if close enough and will again run under no load. Filter is good. Should there be fuel( more than a little) at the carb after shutting Her down? There isn't. Fuel pump recommendations? Also front carb has to be forced back home to idle(like a weak spring) any familiarity?

If you filled your gas tank too full and got fuel into the vacuum line, it will cause the problem you're describing.
