Fuel Senders: BPNW compare to AH Spares

Thanks for the suggestion and attaching the file. My problem is that I can't trust the readings as they get down 1/4 tank, but the needle itself doesn't bounce around (which I think was his issue). I'll take it out for a run in the next few days and monitor the fuel gauge. I also just dropped a note to each of AH Spares and BPNW, asking them if they were listing the same units or different ones. Doug

Both BPNW and AH spares were good enough to reply.
AH Spares: "They do look similar, but I can’t guarantee that they are exactly the same as ours are made only for us."
BPNW (pages shows the Lucas green box): "I believe the design is similar, and the function will be comparable, but I cannot say for certain they come from the same manufacturer."
I was unsuccessful finding an address to ask the same question to Lucas.
The Lucas web-site mentions that in the 2000s, TRW decided to licence the brand to specialist licencees. If a manufacturer is producing a specific part, I can see them selling to anyone that wants to buy the part and sell under their own brand, but perhaps there are two or more producers of replacements fuel senders.
