GT6 Fuel Pump Leaking at out port GT6 MK3

Hello,
Ordered a repro fuel pump 4 yrs ago from Victoria British. Have put about 100 miles on the car I am slowly restoring.
Got home from a 30 mile drive. Next day I start the car and I have gas leaking badly out of front carb and at the fuel pump out port.
Removed the carb bowl and maybe the float was stuck. In any event carb doesn't leak when I put the bowl back on.
Can't say the same about the fuel pump. Been reading were the compression fitting may be the issue and the sleeve somehow, but the fitting, I believe is original. Have ordered a tube nut and sleeve from TRF but part is back ordered.
I also see where some say it's good to rebuild the fuel pump. I see there is a video on how to do that.
Any thoughts on why one thinks it's leaking? Also, rebuilt kit for my AC Delco U type carb would might be best purchases from???
