MGB Fuel pump Banjo fittings

I didn't pay attention when I swapped out my pump but the banjo has a recess on one side and flush on the other. Which side faces the pump body?
I have it with the recessed side (with washer and 'O' ring) toward the body. Still leaking. Got it as tight as it'll go. I didn't like the wimpy (thin) 'O' rings that came with the pump. So I got 2 coming from Moss. But recess correctly directed will be a big help. Thanks!

The original pumps used fiber washers. Two for each banjo. Some pumps now come with recessed o-rings in the inlet/outlet ports. I would still use a fiber washer on the bolt side. I believe the banjo's recess should go to the bolt side. Make sure the fiber washer fits in the recess.
