TR2/3/3A Fuel Line from Tank

Good day.
Have a 1960 TR3a TS74938LO we are restoring - has sat for 30+years.
I have searched the other threads, but am hoping for some advice......We need to replace the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump.
I am not afraid to do it in pieces if needed.
It took a drill to get the old fitting out.
Should I order the original fuel line from Moss or someone (I believe 1/4-19 British Straight Pipe is the thread in the tank) or should I get a modern fuel line and tap the tank to suit?
{Our goal is not to create a 100% perfect factory rebuild}.
Thanks.

That pipe is 2 piece I think. Moss has the rear section although pricey. I've got some old tanks and will see if I have a good fitting.

Sorry, no fitting. The outlet seems to be 1/2 fine thread, (or BSP 1/4 19) same as the drain plug.

I am with Tom on the fitting size, go USA. The 2 lines come together with a small rubber piece, so very friendly. I put one in a 1961 years ago and I believe the later tr3's 60,61 line is the same on a tr4.

Thanks guys!
Will see what I can buy - ya the 'proper' line from Moss is kinda pricey.

I replaced the old original line with 5/16" copper-nickel line. It is a 2 piece line and 5/16" not 1/4". The fuel tank takes a pipe nut along with a ferrule on the line.
Copper-nickel line is much easier to bend and I understand plenty strong enough for this use. The line is available on Amazon in a roll.

Always remember to us ONLY fuel injection quality flex lines. Cheaper hoses last only a few
years with the gas we buy now, then you are stranded. They swell shut and choke off the flow.
