Fuel Line Assistance Needed

All:

I have a 59 BE with a mechanical fuel pump. The car has a replica metal fuel line, just like the original BE line. However, the ends of the fuel line, where they connect to the fuel tank and fuel pump, do not have fittings nor are the ends flared (like brake lines). Moss sold a compression sleeve and tube nut (P/N 376-565 and 376-575) that would do the trick, but do not have available the "tube nut" (P/N 376-575). I have a feeling that these tube nuts are fairly standard, but would love some advice on what to purchase.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

I think your local hardware store can fix you up. That is if you still have a good one.

I think AH Spares has it also. I bought my fuel line from AH Spares and it came complete. couldn't be happier!

Thanks, guys. I went to a few stores today without luck. I did find the parts through VB, but they take a long time to ship or the charge stiff premium for overnight delivery. I'm returning to work on Monday, so was hoping to get this done today. BTW: I spoke with MOSS on the phone and while their online ordering system say they don't have the part, the guy on the phone said they do have them in stock.

A good hardware store? Do they exist anymore?

Yeah, I know what you mean. We have a nearly new ACE that was extremely well stocked but as it ages the boxes are emptying and not getting refilled! I would thing common compression fittings would do the trick.

Kurt.
